ROBERT PARISH
Robert Harvey “Bob” Parish, 74, of St. Clairsville, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born December 11, 1950 in Maynard, Ohio, a son of the late Joseph John and Iona Geneva Siple Parish Conner.
Bob was a retired coal miner from Ohio Valley Coal Company, # 6 mine with 41 years of service. Bob proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict serving two tours of duty. He was a Catholic by faith and a member of the UMWA and the Maynard Sportsman Club. He enjoyed fishing with his grandsons and riding his 4-wheeler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, David “Zubb” Parish, Charles “Buzz” Parish, Ronald Parish, Kenny Parish, Joseph Parish and Louis Parish; two sisters, Linda Ayers and Marie Shaffer.
Surviving are his loving wife of 51 years, Barbara J. Godaway Parish of St. Clairsville; his children, Scott (Skip) Parish of Bridgeport, Ohio and Amy (Stanley) Grigaitis of St. Clairsville; three grandchildren, Gregory, Hannah and Chase Grigaitis; two sisters, Donna (Andy) Mistak of Lafferty, Ohio and Shirley DePasquele of St. Clair Shores, Michigan; two sisters-in-law, Carol (Dave) Parker and Millie Parish.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-6 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville with funeral services on Wednesday at 11 am with Fr. Thomas Chillog officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville. Full Military Graveside Honors will be conducted at 11 am Wednesday at the funeral home by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
