THERESA FAZENBAKER
Long-time resident and member of the Bellaire, Ohio, community, Theresa Yvonne (Redman) Fazenbaker, born June 11, 1951, in Petersburg, West Virginia, to Jobe and Ardella (Gaiter) Redman, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on the morning of November 23, 2025.
Affectionately known as Miss Theresa to the community, she didn’t know a stranger; she often opened her heart and her home to many. Miss Theresa devoted her life to children, spending 38 years teaching children at the Bellaire Head Start Program (Community Action Commission), from which she retired. She had a true passion for helping children and their families.
Miss Theresa enjoyed spending time with family, playing bingo, going to the casino, playing cards, and scratching lottery tickets. She loved spending sunny summer days on the riverbank, fishing. A passion she would pass on to her loving family over the years during many cabin fishing trips.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jobe and Ardella; four brothers; an infant sister; her son, Thomas McKinley Fazenbaker; and one infant granddaughter. Theresa is survived by her brother Wayne Redman of Baltimore, Maryland, her daughter Shelbie Yvonne (Redman) Smith of St. Clairsville, Ohio, two grandsons, Courtney Redman of North Hollywood, CA and Brock Redman (Nikki Lynn Ofat) of Columbus, Ohio, one granddaughter, Lanisha (Redman) Cudjoe (Mark) of Columbus, Ohio; two beloved great granddaughters, Brynn Redman and Neila Redman and many friends.
Miss Theresa was kind, loving, and compassionate. There are no words to express how grateful and blessed we are to be the best parts of her. She will be sadly missed by her family, her friends, and her community.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home 441 37th Street, Bellaire, Ohio on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 9:00am-11:00am and 12:00pm until time of Celebration of Life Service starting at 2:00pm. Burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Bellaire, Ohio.
