BRENDA COSTINE
Brenda Jean Costine, 82, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Sunday, January 4, 2026, in Sienna Hills Care Center.
She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio, on March 31, 1943, a daughter of the late Robert and Jean Skeid Edler.
Brenda was the former owner and operator of Pilney and Costine Insurance Agency. She is a member of Thoburn United Methodist Church in St. Clairsville and a 1961 graduate of Bridgeport High School where she was the head majorette in the marching band.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Judge J. Mark Costine; three children, Jena M. Costine of Raleigh, North Carolina, Shelley L. (Troy) Martin of Waco, Texas, and Ty E. (Anita) Martin of Cincinnati, Ohio; a sister, Cherel (Frank) Husek of St. Clairsville; three grandchildren, Logan Bartsch, Riley Keylor, and Jordis Martin; three great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where the service will be held on Wednesday at 9 am., with Rev. Jeffrey Croft officiating. The burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
