DOROTHY RAUSCHER

She was born July 30, 1931, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, to parents Lacko and Julia (Roscoe) Boskovich. Dorothy graduated from Martins Ferry High School in 1949.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a proud Granny. Dorothy was always social and loved being around other people. She was kind and willing to help others.

She will be fondly remembered for her chicken soup and homemade lemon meringue pie. Dorothy enjoyed playing cards, board games, and Scrabble. She was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and looked forward to hosting football parties. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling.

She was a longtime member of the Adena United Methodist Church and retired as a custodian for the Adena Elementary School.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters Brenda Roski and Cheryl (Frank) Zamski, her grandchildren: Justin (Danielle) Roski, Amy (Shon) Clay, Julie Zamski, and Valarie (Jacob) Rife, her great-grandchildren: Peyton Roski, Jarrett Roski, Sydney Roski, and Heath Clay, her sister-in-law Harriett Fleming, along with generations of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Friends and family will be received Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the Borkoski Funeral Home in Adena, where funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Ken Staley on Monday at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.
