SCOTT MIRACLE
Scott A. Miracle, 53, passed away peacefully at his home in New Albany, Ohio on January 21, 2026.
He is survived by his father, Mark Miracle of St. Clairsville, OH; his mother, Vonna Jean (Terry) Simcox of Colerain, OH; his beloved daughter, Macy Miracle of Worthington, OH; and sister, Megan Simcox of Queens, NY. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Alan Miracle.
Scott graduated from River High School in 1991 and from Ohio University in 1996, earning a degree in English and Computer Science. While at Ohio University, he was a proud member of the Acacia Fraternity.
Following graduation, Scott built a successful career in the computer science field. He spent the final years of his professional life at Nationwide Insurance, where he served as a Vice President and analyst. In this role, he led teams of database programmers, guiding the development and implementation of new projects and contributing to the rollout of multiple insurance products.
Scott found joy in music. He loved playing the guitar and writing songs, often performing around Columbus at open mic nights, festivals, and sharing his music at family gatherings. He also loved to travel and especially treasured time spent with his daughter, whether at the movies, at theme parks, or simply enjoying time together. Scott was deeply loved and will be remembered as a kind, talented, and devoted father, son, brother, and friend.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Heart Association. A private ceremony will be held at the convenience of the family.
