RAYMOND MLYNEK JR.

Raymond Robert Mlynek, Jr., 74, of St. Clairsville, Ohio passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born July 4, 1951 in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of Marcia De Genova Mlynek-Miller and the late Raymond Robert Mlynek, Sr.

Ray retired from the Belmont County Board of DD as a bus driver. He also drove a bus for the Special Olympics, provided respite care for many people for many years. Ray was a former bass guitar player for the Buck ‘n’ Wing Band and a huge Cleveland Browns Fan and a Christian by faith.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Mlynek.

Surviving are his mother, Marcia De Genova Mlynek-Miller of Wheeling, West Virginia; his wife, Audrey L. Ray Mlynek of St. Clairsville; his children, Waylan J. Mlynek of St. Clairsville and Melinda M. (Bob) Steortz of Dayton, Ohio; two grandsons, Waylan J. Mlynek, II and Aaron Steortz; three brothers, Danny (Stella) Mlynek of Florida, Ricky (Tami) Mlynek and Michael (Roni) Mlynek both of Powhatan Point, Ohio.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2 pm until time of funeral services at 6 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville with Jimmy Albert from Church Alive officiating. Final arrangements will be held at the convience of the family. Ray spent his entire life assisting people. In lieu of flowers, please pass along an act of kindness to someone in need.
