SYLVIA WAYT
Sylvia Evelyn Wayt, 87, of Rayland, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026, in Wheeling Hospital. She was born on December 13, 1938, in Maynard, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Evelyn (Dayton) Rinkes. Sylvia was Baptist by faith, and enjoyed cooking, baking, crafts and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her children, John Renforth, Bill Renforth, Vicki (David) Saffell, Teresa (Mark) Tomisin and Richard (Heather) Ruckman; a sister, Violet (Kenny) Blinco; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter; a special niece Connie McCort and many other nieces and nephews.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph Wayt; six brothers, Bud, Chester, William, George, Thomas, and Charles Rinkes; a sister, Judy Carley; and an infant daughter, Sylvia Evelyn Renforth.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside.
