Edwin “Ed” Edward Swegard, 65, a beloved mechanic and transmission specialist, passed away unexpectedly at home on March 23, 2026. Born on December 19, 1960, in Bellaire, Ohio,
He is survived by his mother, Nancy Ann (Hess) Walker of Ravenna, Ohio; his devoted wife of nine years, Cynthia “Cindy” (Littleton) Swegard; her grandson whom they raised, Steven Swegard; his four children–Eddie Swegard of Michigan, Justin (Kristen) Swegard, Kassandra Swegard of Michigan, and Kayla (John) Sarcopski of Moundsville; his grandchildren–Tylon, Lizzie, Justin, Katie, Larissa, Mae; Cal as well as siblings Patricia (Roger) Stillion of Shadyside; Theresa Stillion of Powhatan, Don Swegard Jr. of Powhatan, Rose (John) Oblisk of Ravenna, and stepmother Mary Swegard, along with numerous nieces and nephews who all hold him dear.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald W. Swegard Sr., and stepson Richie Burch.

A visitation will be held on Thursday March 26, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Michelle Lucarelli officiant at Amity United Methodist Church in Powhatan Point, Ohio
