FRANKLIN A. BAUER
Franklin Albert Bauer, 32, of Powhatan Point, Ohio, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026. He was born December 5, 1993, in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of Sandra Ruschak Rosen and Thomas Franklin Bauer.
Franklin was defined by hard work, whether it was farming or working as a diesel mechanic, as well as an aspiring lumberjack. He found joy in being outdoors and spending time with the cattle, but his greatest pride and deepest happiness came from being a devoted father and husband.
Franklin was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Linda Bauer; his stepfather Mark Rosen; his father-in-law, John Steadman, and his good friend Mike Modra.
Franklin is survived by his loving wife Brooke Lewis Bauer; his children, Claira, Lilah, William, and Ellie Bauer; his parents, Sandra Ruschak Rosen and Thomas Franklin Bauer; his siblings, Scott (Stephanie) Ruschak and Renee (Drew) Worbel; his grandfather, Roy Bauer; his grandmother, Mary Swegard; his uncle, Chris (Brenda) Bauer; his brother-in-law, John (Larrissa) Steadman; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home, Jacobsburg, Ohio with Pastor Wayne Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to A Living Tribute to plant a tree in memory of Franklin.
