Janet Smithberger
Janet Ann Smithberger, 83, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday April 14, 2026, at her home. She was born September 24, 1942, in Steubenville, Ohio a daughter of the late Charles James. and Gayle Pauline. Gordon Favot.
Janet was a retired secretary and accountant for Ohio Valley Paving. She was a member of the Wintersville United Methodist Church and the Woodsfield Chapter 268, Order of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Ivone “Chuck” Gordon Favot.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of funeral services at 10 a.m. at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, with Pastor Rodney West officiating. A private entombment will occur at the convenience of the family at Holly Memorial Gardens.
