JENNIE HRITZ

Jennie was a clerk at the former Fisher Big Wheel in Bridgeport, a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Colerain, where she was one of the founding members of the Catholic Women’s Club there. She was known for her ability to connect with everyone she met. Her generosity and compassion made her one of a kind. Those fortunate enough to call her friend knew they had someone who truly cared. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.

In addition to her husband, Edward Hritz, she was preceded in death by her daughter Cynthia and son in law David Simpson and her 6 siblings.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Denise (Rick) Kedward of Wheeling, grandchildren, Christy (Ryan) Carney, Melissa (Ben) Anderson, Craig Kedward, Jeff (Michelle) Simpson, Brad (Kerri) Simpson, and Derek (Amanda) Simpson and 9 great-grandchildren complete her family.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 28th from 6-8pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Bridgeport, OH 43912. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 11am at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Colerain with Fr. Thomas Chillog officiating. Brial will follow at Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the donors’ choice in memory of Jennie Hritz.
