VERONICA SEMPIREK

Veronica “Ronnie” (Banal) Sempirek, 89, of Dillonvale passed away Sunday, April 19, 2026, at the Shadyside Nursing & Rehab Center, where she was a resident. She was born on February 16, 1937, in Amsterdam, OH the daughter of the late, Louis and Erminia (Gradizzi) Banal.

Ronnie was a devoted employee of the Wilson Funeral Home, Dillonvale Chapel where she worked side by side with her late husband, Norman. She was a faithful member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Dillonvale, where she sang in the choir. She will be remembered for her lively spirit, her unyielding kindness, and her profound impact on the lives she touched. Her legacy of love and laughter will endure in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She loved to garden, and polka dance with her husband Norman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Norman J. Sempirek and daughter Terri Sempirek.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Karl (Dana) Sempirek, grandchildren, Ashley, Courtney, Carlye and Brock, great-grand children, Clayton, Kyleigh, Kyndall, and Cooper, sisters, Bonnie (Jack) Snider, Rita Banal Raymer, and Teresa (Bob) Calhoun.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, April 28 from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. at the Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street., Dillonvale, Ohio 43917. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Wed, April 29, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Adalbert Catholic Church 39 Smithfield Street., Dillonvale, Ohio 43917. Celebrated by Father William Cross. Burial to follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
