DARLENE MORLAN

Darlene was born on October 6, 1948, in Crabapple, Ohio to the late Michael Jonathan Nugo Sr. and Anna Marie (Eberhart) Nugo.

Darlene graduated from Flushing High School in the class of 1966. She later married the love of her life, Dallas Morlan. The two were married on November 15, 1967, and spent 58 wonderful years of marriage together.

In her home of Belmont County, Darlene owned and operated “Darlene’s Cakes and Candies” for over 10 years. After moving to Delaware, Darlene primarily worked at the Delaware County Bank, where she became the assistant manager. Darlene was a very hard worker and enjoyed serving her customers while at the Delaware County Bank from 1988- 2011.

Outside of work, Darlene enjoyed making quilts and tapestries, crafting, and tending to her flower garden. She enjoyed spending time on the back deck with her husband and family. She also had a passion for baking and cooking.

In addition to her parents, Darlene is preceded in death by her brother Michael Jonathan Nugo Jr.; and her nephew, Matthew J. Nugo.

Darlene Anne Morlan is survived by her loving husband Dallas Porter Morlan; sons, Jonathan Michael Morlan and Christopher Dallas (Christy) Morlan; granddaughter, Cynthia (Corey) Johnson; great-grandchildren Hunter Johnson, Addie Johnson, and Landen Johnson; nieces, Melissa Nugo, Michelle Fox, and Marianne Nugo; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Delaware County Humane Society at 4920 OH-37, Delaware, OH 43015.
