PATRICK G. HENRY
On April 14, 2026, Patrick G. Henry, age 89, joined his lifelong love, Patricia “Patty” Ross Henry, in heaven. Pat and Patty were married more than 70 years and had five children. Pat graduated in 1954 from Moundsville High School. Following graduation, he served in the Air Force. He was a machinist by trade and was a volunteer firefighter and EMT with the Sunset Heights Fire Department. Pat enjoyed the outdoors, deer hunting, golfing, fishing and chopping wood, as well as bowling, playing casino games, and mastering cryptoquote and crossword puzzles. He was a “jack of all trades,” having spent more than 60 years in Bridgeport, Ohio, remodeling a house into a home. His genius mind and quick wit entertained all and will be missed.
Pat was a resident of Good Shepherd Nursing Home when he passed. The son of the late Earl G. and Edna Henry, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Patty and his sister Geraldine “Gerry” (David) VanScyoc. He was survived by his brother, Robert “Bobby” (Sherry) Henry, and his children Chris (Lori) Henry, Debra “Debbie” Leonard, David (Patty) Henry, Lisa (Kip) Moore, and Barbara “Barbie” Britton, as well as eleven grandchildren (James, Elaine, Caitlin, Abbi, Luke, Kyle, Brianna, Trisha, Erica, Emily and Elisa) and seven great-grandchildren (Sophia, Kenzie, Aubrey, Levi, Sutton, Maddox and Emmie).
As did his wife, Pat donated his body for research and education through the Genesis Foundation. No funeral will be held, and a celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
