VELMA M. CRUMPLER
Velma Marie (Dyson) Crumpler, 89, of St. Clairsville OH passed away April 22, 2026, at home. She was born, August 5, 1936, in Blaine, OH, daughter of the late John and Hazel (Keiger) Dyson.
Velma grew up in Blaine, OH and right out of high school and became a telephone operator alongside her sister Dorothy and her twin Thelma. She was also a retired Personnel Manager of the St. Clairsville K-Mart and past member of the St. Clairsville Bowling League. She was a loving mother and wife. She loved animals, feeding the birds and mowing the lawn.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Donald Paul Dyson, sister Mary Kathleen Parish and brother-in-law William F. Crumpler III.
She is survived by her loving husband Randall G. Crumpler, two daughters Cheryl Harris and Dawn Renee (John) Parrish; her loved grand puppies and kitties; three sisters Dorothy Goga, Thelma Williams and Shirley Heath; four brothers John (Kathie) Dyson, Harold Dyson, Robert Dyson and Ron Dyson; sisters-in-law Irene Dyson, Virginia Crumpler and Sandy (Bill) White; brothers-in-law Frances Parish and David Crumpler; many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Saturday, May 9th at 1 p.m. until time of service at 3:15 p.m. The family would like to thank the team from Amedysis Hospice, especially our wonderful caregiver Diane.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Belmont Country Animal Shelter and/or The Road Home Animal Project.
