JOSEPH BODNAR
Joseph M. “Bodey” Bodnar, 67, of Yorkville, OH, passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side on June 19, 2026.
He was born on March 15, 1959 in Wheeling, WV to the late William and Helen Bodnar. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his only sister, Sharon Blackbird.
Joe dedicated his life to the family business, proudly carrying on the legacy as the third generation to own and operate Bodnar & Son Florist and Green- houses alongside his wife, LuAnn. He devoted himself wholeheartedly to its growth and success, making it a cornerstone of the community. The business he loved will continue to flourish through his family for generations to come.
Joe is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, LuAnn (Gaudio) Bodnar, who was not only his loving spouse, but also his best friend. Also left to cherish his memory are his children; his son Joey (Monica) Bodnar of Rayland, OH and his daughter Kayla (Justin) Isinghood of North Canton, OH. Joe was deeply loved by a large extended family. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss him dearly.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Joe on Wednesday, June 24, from 2-7 pm, and also on Thursday, June 25, from 10 a.m. until the time of his funeral service at 11 a.m., with Father William Cross officiating at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.
Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, OH.
