Elizabeth Marleen Workman, born on November 30, 1941, in Bellaire, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026, at the age of 84, at the Shadyside Care Center.
Elizabeth dedicated her life to her family as a devoted homemaker. She was a cherished member of the Sew and Sew Quilters in Shadyside and served faithfully as an Elder in the First Christian Church. Her unwavering faith and commitment to her community were evident to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Grace (Eikleberry) Smith and Lawrence Smith. Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Workman, and her children: Richard (Dana) Garrison Jr., Karen (Randy) Day, Patricia Garrison, Kenneth Workman, and Kimberlee (Todd) Wise. She also leaves behind her siblings, Floyd (May) Smith, Jeffrey Smith, Nora "Lynne" (Tom) Weekley, and Rebecca (Paul) Beekman. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Korin (Jake), Cody (Sara), Dylan (Mollie), Hannah, Marissa, and Elainna, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., and on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at noon at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home 3900 Central Ave. Shadyside, OH. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shadyside First Christian Church, honoring Elizabeth's enduring spirit and dedication to her faith.
Elizabeth will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her warmth, kindness, and devotion to her loved ones will forever remain in our hearts.
