Louis Civin "Bud", 96, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on July 18, 2026 in Stuart, Florida. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Rosemary, his sons, Mark and Alan, daughter-in-law, Eileen, and grandsons, Bryce and Mackenzie. Louis was born on November 23, 1929, the first child of Mary and Louis Civin, Sr. in Bellaire, Ohio. He would later be joined by sibling, James "Jim." After graduating from Bellaire High School, he entered the Air Force, serving four years, one in Korea during the Korean War as an airplane mechanic before receiving an honorable discharge. Afterwards, he returned to Ohio and married Rosemary Shafer, a registered nurse, in 1954. He was employed at Bayer Chemical in New Martinsville, WV for 30 years. During that time, Lou and Rosemary raised their family before retiring and moving to Jupiter, Florida in 1990. Lou and Rosemary happily enjoyed retirement in Jupiter for the following 32 years before moving to Discovery Commons Assisted Living in 2022. He will be forever missed and fondly remembered.
Louis will be remembered at a memorial mass at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Hobe Sound, FL. on July 25, 2026. No flowers or gifts at the family's request. Any donations should be directed to Treasure Coast Hospice, Stuart, FL or a charity of your choice.
