Josephine "Josie" Collins, age 96, of Yorkville, Ohio passed away on August 26, 2026.
She was born on November 11, 1929, in Yorkville, Ohio, the daughter of Frank and Leona Collins. Josephine graduated from Yorkville High School in 1947 and worked for many years at the Social Security Administration in Steubenville, Ohio, until she retired. She was a loving sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Josephine was preceded in death by her mother Leona Holmes Collins Rivers, sister Annie Mae Collins and brother William Collins.
She is survived by her sister Viola Dixon, nieces Gail Dixon- McBride (Eljay), Robin Collins Blake (Vincent), Cheryl Dixon-Wheeler (Steven), Patricia Collins, Kimberly Webb (Richard), and a host of cousins, nephews, and great -nephews.
A homegoing service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026 – viewing from 10 a.m. -11 a.m., and Celebration of Life from 11 a.m. – 12 noon at Borkoski Funeral Home, 337 Jefferson Street, Tiltonsville, Ohio 43963.
We will then continue to the Upland Heights cemetery in Yorkville, where she will be laid to rest.
