Michael L. Bednar, 78, of Powhatan Point, Ohio, passed away on September 20, 2026.
Born on March 11, 1948, in Alledonia, Ohio, a son of the late Joseph Bednar and Jessie Saffell Bednar.
Mike was an arc welder, and a member of the Tulsa Local 798 Welder’s Union.
He was a member of the Powhatan Point VFW Post 5565. He was 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Moriah Lodge Number 105 F&AM.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Murray Bednar, sons; Jason Bednar of Montana and Justin (Chrystal) Bednar of Powhatan Point, Ohio, granddaughters; Henley and Hayden Bednar, siblings; George, Joseph, Arnetta, and Sonya, as well as brother-in-law Jim Murray, sisters-in-law, Delores Murray and Kathy Murray (Jordan) St. John, and many nieces and nephews.
Per Michael’s wishes, there will be no services. Private arrangements have been entrusted to Bauknecht Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 186 Main Street, Powhatan Point Ohio 43942.
