Thomas R. "Tom" Dudzik, 71, of Martins Ferry passed away Saturday, September 12th at Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital in Wheeling, surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born on June 14, 1955, in Martins Ferry, the son of the late Thomas and Jean R. (Mauk) Dudzik.

Tom was a self-employed long haul Truck driver and retired from Matheson Valley. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, a 1973 graduate of St. John Central High School. He was an all-around good guy and enjoyed lifelong friendships and was a die-hard Ohio State Buckeye fan. He was a loving husband, dog-dad, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend, he touched many lives. His life centered around his wife Cindy, their fur-babies, and family, his spirit will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, William L. & Lillian M. (Laase) Butler, sister, Paula Jean Dudzik, brother and sister-in-law, Edward & Rhonda Dudzik.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 47 years, Cindy (Butler) Dudzik, fur babies, Willy and Happy, sister, Barbara (Lee) Zonker, brothers-in-law, sisters-in- law, Gary (Joyce) Butler, Gail (Mark) Soboslai, Bill (Beth) Butler, Debbie (Brian) Baiocco, nieces and nephews, Shelley Butler, Jennifer Hodges, Michael Soboslai, Steve Soboslai, Brianna Cummins, Bethany Sterling, Ben Baiocco, Brittany Cusick, Chuck Zonker, Veronica "Ronnie" Zonker, Justin Dudzik and several great- nieces and nephews as well as cousins.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home - Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry. In keeping with Tom's wishes all services and entombment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

The family wants to thank the staff of Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital for their kindness, compassion and care given to Tom and his family.
