Peggy, a daughter of the late Andy J. and Mary Szolosi Kozsuch, was born on March 22, 1926, in Saint Clairsville, Ohio. Upon graduating from high school and during World War II, she went to Washington DC to work as a typist and clerical staff member for the Department of Navy.
