Betty Jane Sommer Thomas, 100, of Tiltonsville, OH, passed away, Friday, September 15, 2023, at Liza’s Place, in Wheeling, WV. Betty was born August 8, 1923, in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late Albert and Sophia (Laipple) Sommer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Tommy Thomas and seven siblings. Betty was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a 75-year resident of Tiltonsville and a 70-year member of The Tiltonsville United Methodist Church. Betty was co-owner of the M&K Grocery Store in Tiltonsville. Johnette was a retired School Teacher at St. Clairsville- Richland City School District for 33 years and a Catholic by faith.
