Christine Louise Kaplet, 82, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Wheeling Hospital. She was born April 13, 1941, in London, England, a daughter of the late Walter L. King and Josephine Johanna Loughnane King. Christine was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt. She was a member of Thoburn United Methodist Church and a volunteer at the Belmont County Animal Shelter. Bernadine Pearl “Bert” Burghy, 86, of St. Clairsville, OH passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at her home. She was born November 24, 1936 in Cameron, OH., a daughter of the late John and Lena Ady Palmer. Bert was a home- maker and a methodist by faith. She was born August 8, 1923 in Yorkville, OH, a daughter of the late Samuel and Mildred (Gurich) Prtljaga. Mary was a homemaker and a Presbyterian by faith. Mary and her two sisters moved to California years ago and were known as the Saunders Trio, they sang for the USO tours during WWII.
