JOHN “SNUFFY” MCKEEGAN John Michael “Snuffy” McKeegan, 81, passed away peacefully June 26, 2023 at the Park Health Center. He was a resident of Brilliant and formerly of Rose Ave., Tiltonsville and Cambridge, Ohio. He was born on April 1, 1942, the son of the late John and Elizabeth (D’Agostino) McKeegan. Snuffy had many talents including running McKeegan Construction and Trucking with his brother Jim. But he was best known for his dry wall finishing in the Tri-State area. She was born September 12, 1945 in Martins Ferry, Ohio a daughter of the late Herman “H.F.” and Mary (Shane) Erbe. Carol was a retired Registered Nurse in Bay Pines Veterans Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. Nursing was her passion and she often spoke lovingly of the veterans for which she cared. Mary Jane Starkey Piatt, 81, of Beallsville, Ohio passed away peacefully in the home that she loved on Monday, June 26, 2023. She was born December 31, 1941 in Wheeling, the only daughter of the late Raymond and Charlotte Wise Starkey. On July 2, 1982 she married her true love, Donald “Doc” Piatt, to whom she was a faithful and dedicated helpmate and companion for nearly forty years, until his passing on February 29, 2016.
