He was born September 3, 1949, in Portsmouth, Virginia, a son of Eula Bell Skelton Taylor and the late John D. Skelton. Dave was the retired owner and operator of Ohio Valley Basket and former coal miner at North American Coal #3 Mine. He enjoyed baseball and softball. Betty Jane Hartline Snider, 97, of Martins Ferry passed away peacefully June 27, 2023, at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family. Born June 15, 1926, in Shadyside to Hiram & Naomi Hess Hartline. She graduated in 1944 from Shadyside High School and retired from Holly Memorial Gardens in 1991.
