Cheers & Jeers
CHEERS to St. Clairsville Sunrise Rotary for organizing the “Noon Year’s Eve “ celebration for children at the Ohio Valley Mall. It was a great success, providing families access to a variety of fun and information.
JEERS to the fact that the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System presents roadblocks to public service for some who have worked within the system.
CHEERS to Gold, Khourey & Turak for providing free rides for those who celebrated the new year by consuming alcohol, making roads around the local area safer for everyone.
JEERS to the fact that a teenage girl was injured in Bellaire due to an incident that led to shots being fired. Two people were arrested, but that doesn’t change the fact that the girl was injured.
CHEERS to all new and returning officeholders who will serve the public in Eastern Ohio over the coming year and beyond. Your willingness to work for your community makes a difference.
CHEERS to anyone who made New Year’s resolutions to improve themselves over the course of the coming year. You can do it if you put your mind to it, whatever the challenge may be.
CHEERS to the law enforcement officers who were out in force over the New Year’s holiday to help ensure everyone was able to travel safely.
