Amanda Rosepapa

Dear Editor,

We would like to thank everyone for their support during this difficult time. With the loss of our daughter, Amanda, our family has been devastated.

Family, friends, co-workers, Amanda’s friends and parents of Amanda’s friends and co-workers, have kept us strong. We would like to express our gratitude for all the support. Especially to Amanda’s friends for organizing the Candle Light Vigil and Steak Fry. Our thanks go out to all the businesses of the Ohio Valley that supported this cause. We would like to thank individually each and every one of you, but we are afraid we might forget someone. Your good deeds are too numerous to mention. The out pouring of love from the valley was overwhelming.

To our employers and co-workers at The Health Plan of the Upper Ohio Valley (Rose/Amy), Ohio Valley Coal Company #6 mine (Rick), Olive Garden/Darden Restaurants (Amanda), Belmont Community Hospital (Aunt Anita/Grandma Goldie) and The Belmont County Committee on Aging (Aunt Susie) our sincere gratitude for all the support. Thanks to WesBanco and Amanda friends for setting up the Memorial Fund in Amanda’s name. We would like to send our love to all the friends and family that came to the hospital to support us through a very challenging time.

The staff at Akron City Hospital was wonderful in letting us grieve, with our family, friends and Amanda’s friends with open visiting hours. We would like to thank the organ donation team from LifeBanc for their continued support, Bauknecht’s Funeral Home was exceptional with their assistance with the arrangements. To Mr. DeGenova and St. John’s Grade School choir and Richelle Myers for the music at the funeral mass, the music was inspirational. To Father Dan Heusel and Deacon John, thank you for your encouraging words of faith and continued support. Our love to Kathy Wallace and Cindy Shaw for organizing the after funeral luncheon. Thanks to everyone who sent flowers, food, coolers, letters, cards and called us with your love and concern.

It was astonishing to see how many lives Amanda had touched in her short life, and how many people loved her. One of Amanda’s final quotes on her Facebook was, “Live your life in such a way, if someone spoke badly of you, no one would believe it.” I think this quote describes the Ohio Valley, as we would not live anywhere else.

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,

The Rosepapa/Rogers Family,

Rick Rosepapa,

Bellaire
