Letters to the Editor – A few quotes
Dear Editor,
I would like to share a few quotes with you. First one from Theodore Roosevelt: “To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
The second one is from Marcus Cicero: “A nation can survive its fools, even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within, for the traitor appears not to be a traitor. He rots the soul of a nation, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist.”
I hope the past may open a few eyes to the future.
