Many thanks for grants
Dear Editor,
The students of St. Clairsville-Richland City Schools will have the benefit of new and exciting hands-on activities because of grants like the one supplied by the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio and Gulfport Energy. Several grants were awarded and will be used in the following ways:
1. $2,000 for a 3D printer for the middle school computer classroom.
This will allow students the opportunity to show their creativity and remain engaged in the classroom.
2. $5,000 for Pottery Wheels for the art classroom in the high school. More students will have access to the pottery wheels allowing for more pottery projects.
Additionally, the district will benefit from a recent $5,000 grant from the Community Foundation of the Ohio Valley for air purifiers to help during the pandemic.
The staff and students of the district cannot thank Gulfport Energy and the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio enough for their continued efforts in education and the Community Foundation of the Ohio Valley to help with the fight against COVID19.
