Dear Editor,

There are not enough joyous words to express my joy that Trump has been defeated as President of the United States.

It is not only being rid of Trump the fraudster, liar, grifter, cheater, impostor, swindler, and on and on that makes me so happy and relieved:

It is the ridding us of the grave harm Trump caused to immigrant children by stealing them from their parents and locking them up in cages;

It is allowing the United States to resume leadership the Paris Climate Accord to prevent further cooking of the planet and preventing the EPA from making air and water pollution much worse;

It is reversing the divide of our country and eliminating Trump’s championing of racism, bigotry, and vulgarity while he embraces authoritarianism — radicalizing his supporters against democracy that caused the insurrection of our Capitol;

It is providing the rational, national leadership to defeat the COVID pandemic that Trump’s failed leadership, experts say, caused at least the negligent homicide deaths of 100,000 of the 400,000 that have died due to the pandemic;

It is rejoining the Iran Nuclear Agreement so that Iran will no longer be a nuclear threat, as they are starting up their efforts to enhance uranium on the way to building nuclear weapons;

It is stopping North Korea who is also advancing their nuclear weapons programs, and Russia who is abrogating anti-nuclear treaties, executing cyber attacks on the United States, and putting bounties on American soldiers;

It is rescuing the American economy that has caused tens of millions to lose their jobs, savings, and homes — by increasing the minimum wage to $15/hour and significantly expanding economic stimulus programs;

It is preventing the ten-year Trump/Republican effort to repeal and replace the ACA (Obamacare) with cheap, worthless insurance;

It is ending the weaponizing the Middle East that allows Arab despots to do our bombing that has inflicted untold suffering to civilians;

It is ridding our great nation of Trump — a would be Fascist dictator;

It is providing honest, honorable, and competent leadership for the United States.
