Dear Editor,

I would like to thank all the people that came out to make our Celebration in the Park a successful event. When I found out the Chamber wasn’t going to be able to do fireworks I talked with Andy (Sutak) and the police chief, and we all agreed that something had to be done, and with cooperation of our team and their dedication we were able to put on a great event for our people.

I want to thank all the people involved in making this happen, including but not limited to: Service Director Andy Sutak, Police Chief John McFarland, Martins Ferry Park District, Paul Jeffries, Water Superintendent Bill Suto, Martins Ferry Lions Club, Martins Ferry City Schools, Martins Ferry City Council, National Lime and Stone, Project Forward, Frito Lay, Jacob and Sons, Moody Well Service and United Dairy.

I can’t thank my staff enough for pulling this feat off in just a couple of days.
