Gospel of our Flag
Out the window the flag waves,
It steals my attention as I pray.
What could you say that we haven’t heard before ?
Then I heard the gospel once more. America the brave sent as your symbol I wave.
Moved by the wind, neither are caught,
I represent your freedom bought.
Men determined look forward to future leaving behind bonds of another master,
Saying that freedom is not a vice, freedom is a choice.
Jesus saved this land for last,
To show the world freedom’s best.
Some think we don’t know how good we have it but we see that flag and look above it.
As Jesus blows it to herald our goods,
That we are keepers of freedom as lords.
We’ll answer one day.
How we cared for the Vineyard and let nothing in the way.
Hail great flag of mine,
For you will always be my sign of blood lost and battles won,
As I see One holding it, God’s Son.
