Hiss

Dear Editor,

This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! Every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and wag his hand. Zeph 2:15

There are several meanings of hiss in the Bible but in this instance it holds something in contempt and to wag his hand is a term of derision. I see the United States in this verse. We have become a modern day Ninevah.

This administration and its sycophants in the House and Senate, the news agencies, and the progressive leftist movement are pushing us towards disrespect by the entire world.

Because of the debacle in Afghanistan, the whole world looks at us as a buffoon being led by a cognitively challenged President whose word and defense of his own people can no longer be trusted. He is not running the presidency. Every time he walks on stage he tells everyone what his handlers from the Obama administration instruct for him to say. He can’t even answer basic questions without taking them from prearranged reporters. The Chinese and Russians may be blackmailing his family as well as blackmailing or paying off many others in leadership in all pillars of our society. I pray I am wrong.

But this is only one of the failures we have in our country. If the United States fails to live up to its constitutional responsibilites then the rest of western civilization will fall to this totalitarian madness.

Two percent of the world’s population, up to 140 million people, may die of this and we are still taking advice from the man who may have allowed it to happen with our taxpayer money.

We allow abortion, sexual perversion, greed of corportions, unjust courts, indoctrinating schools and compromising churches. Can you hear the hissing America? Has this nation become a hiss in the mouth of God?

But in all this chaos I do see good. Many people are beginning to realize that our only hope is in Christ and everyday I hear more and more revelations of family members and friends turning to God.

Folks, if we never experience winter, how do we ever appreciate the warm summer sun. Turn to Christ and may God bless you.
