Purpose

Dear Editor,

Is someone pulling your supply chain?

Having driven over-the-road for 12 years and over a million miles, I know federal and state DOT laws have dumbed down our ability to deliver. Before, a driver could log the posted state speed limit, say 65 m.p.h., times the hours driven, say, 10 hours, equals 650 allowable driven miles.

Now, a driver can only use the average speed of 50 m.p.h. or 500 miles. Weight restrictions can be lifted in times of need, but are not being lifted. San Franciso truck drivers complain that California laws now only allow hauling one container a day when pre-COVID they hauled 3-4 containers a day.

Purpose can lead to fulfillment. Intent decides outcome, good or bad. Intent is what you do, not what you say or mean to do.

When errors result in harm, the recipients evaluate their support. Yet, if our excusing is persistent, the excuser, not the perpetrator, suffers.

The harm?

Mallingering lip-service to evil begats spiritual warfare because lies abound.

The remedy?

If God is not seen as part of this equation, there will be no solution. Not even mid-term elections will solve our problems. If, in God we trust, then prayer is of the essence.
