Courage
Dear Editor,
I don’t know how long the citizens of the Ukraine can hold out but there is so much our country can learn from their people. Did you notice the number of elderly people who are bold and fierce in their protection of their country. One elderly woman went up to a Russian soldier and handed him some sunflowers and told him to keep them on his body because his dead body will be used as fertilizer to grow sunflowers in the free state of Ukraine….wow!!! An old man pulled aside a news reporter and told him that when he runs out of bullets he will grab his kitchen knife and fight the Russians. He left the reporter with the statement that he was going to church first to pray before he fights. Why would the elderly be strong in the wake of overwhelming odds. It’s because they all knew what it was like to live under socialism, communism and totalitarianism. They have passed that knowledge to their children. The soldiers defending a Ukrainian Island told a Russian warship that demanded their surrender to do something to themselves that I cannot repeat because of the language. The citizens are fighting street to street. And the president of the country himself told Biden when Biden offered him safe passage out of his own country …
“I don’t need a ride! I need ammo!”
That is a leader. That is something we are lacking here. Our teachers need to stop this identity politics and diversity nonsense. We do not need to be divided based upon the color of our skin or our gender politics, because when the enemy comes they won’t care except to enslave all of us. Our children need to understand the cost of freedom, the Constitution and the Bible. Also those of you who oppose gun and rifle ownership, as far as I’m concerned, your argument is dead. Putin thought he could roll into the Ukraine and take it over in a few days but people of that nation, who are armed to the teeth, are, at the moment that I write this, destroying his plans. I guess that the 2nd amendment means more than just hunting Mr. Biden. We are at a crossroads in this country. We now see the effect our leadership has had on the world by showing weakness in Afghanistan. We see the economic turmoil we have caused the world by destroying our energy independence. No amount of windmills and solar panels will overcome dictators who build war machines. We need to open our coal mines, steel mills, and pipelines.
If we make it to the elections in November, we must defeat these evil people who control us and destroy the world through their incompetency.
