Brace yourselves

Dear Editor,

Like “Old Man River” would say about President Trump, “what you see is what you get.’ He didn’t pretend to be something he wasn’t, you knew exactly where he stood on everything and how he felt about it, no pretense. Now President Biden on the other hand, you have no idea from day to day or whether he even knows?

All of the young and old die-hard Democrats need to wake up. As a lifelong Democrat, I woke up to the fact that the Democrats of today are not the same Democrats of old.

I am 78, soon to be 79, and I have never seen our country in such bad shape since President Jimmy Carter. Record inflation, high gas and food prices, open borders — shouldn’t this tell you something?

I’ve heard all the comments and arguments why a lot of people don’t like President Trump. What does that have to do with the fact that under Trump we were oil independent, gas prices were low, there was food on the shelves, we didn’t run out of baby formula, the borders were closed, people were working, they weren’t being paid to stay home and collect welfare, and, yes, President Trump was able to get a vaccine for the COVID virus rushed through the drug companies.

Who would you rather have run the country, a businessman who understands the way business and the country works, or a 50-year-in-office politician that doesn’t have a clue where he is most of the time and needs a cue card to tell him where to stand, sit, when to talk and who to call on and then when to leave the room? Why would you want this man running the country? Why is he begging foreign countries for oil when we were oil independent under President Trump? What don’t I understand?

Democrats and all the Trump haters you’re being lied to by most of the media depending on what station you are watching, so brace yourself we still have two years left. I’m predicting it’s only going to get worse.
