Loneliness

Dear Editor,

From the beginning, God purposed Man (men & women) to be a part of the Godhead–“Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.”-Gen 1:26 “Loneliness” until that was realized (Jn 14:18-23, 17:17-24, RSV) is an apt description evident when the sorrowful God sought Adam & Eve in the Garden of Eden.-Gen 3:9-13 “Loneliness” is a profound part of experience revealed in the amazing humility of God creating “the other” in the first place!–Gen 1:1-26, Rom 1:19-21

The Incarnation continues God’s patient instruction wherein Jesus was conceived, born and “. . . became strong and grew in wisdom, favor and stature with God. . .and man” (Mt 1:1-18-23, Lk 1:28-35, 2:8-20, 40-52) that culminated in thirty years and nine months from the Second Person of the Trinity’s conception to Jesus’ baptism wherein the Divine Imperative was achieved resulting in the celebration by the Godhead of Jesus becoming: God’s High Priest from the tribe of Judah fulfilling all righteousness in his body of flesh, God’s Living Lamb, God’s Rock, God’s Warrior, God’s Judge of all.-Mt 3:15-17, 4:1-11, Jn 1:29, 36, II Sam 22:2, Zeph 3:15-17, Jn 5:17-32, 8:28-29, Rev 19:10-11

In thirty-three years and nine months, Jesus the Christ proliferated & completed the image of God in his body of flesh by enduring the most heinous judgement of us sinners, both angelic & human, who intended to use sin & death to destroy the Godhead.-Mt 11:12, Lk 22:53, Jn 6:51 On the cross, instead of cursing God as Satan had prophesied (Job 2:4-5), Jesus asked the ultimate question (Mt 27:45-46), that revealed God’s eternal purpose as he had prayed before Gethsemane & Golgotha in Jn 17:25-26, “O righteous Father, the world has not known thee, but I have known thee; and these know that thou hast sent me. I made known to them thy name, and I will make it known that the love with which thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them. “-complemented by Jn 8:54-55 As such, Jesus the Christ fulfilled Solomon’s counsel in Eccl 11:5: “As you do not know how the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything.”-complemented by Heb 3:6 & Jn 6:28-29
