Revoke Norfolk Southern’s corporate charter!
Dear Editor,
When a company’s neglect causes a disaster of the magnitude in East Palestine, the correct action would be to revoke the Norfolk Southern’s corporate charter and seize the company’s assets to be used immediately to lessen damage of further contamination, then for mitigation for the human and ecological damage and for compensation to the victims. What sane system would allow the continuation of corporations with such a record of dysfunction and irresponsibility? Our government needs to use its power to hold corporations responsible. Revoke their corporate charter!
