Willow Grove Mine Memorial Service
Dear Editor,
The United Mine Workers of America recently held a memorial service at the Willow Grove Mine site in Neffs, Ohio, to honor 72 miners who lost their lives in an explosion on March 16, 1940. On behalf of the UMWA I would like to extend my sincerest appreciation to all who supported us in making the event possible. No one is ever really gone unless we forget them.
