Dear Editor,

I was surprised when I read the recent letter regarding “Warsaw Ghetto” and “Rethinking Support for Israel.”

Yes, the “Warsaw Ghetto” was HItler’s attack on Jewish people in order to eliminate them from the face of the earth. Today it is not Hitler but Hamas. On Oct. 7 Hamas in an unprovoked attack started slaughtering innocent Jews at a music festival, in their homes, in front of their children, then killing the children, decapitating some and burning others all the while taking pictures of their evil slaughter.

So someone explain to me why that is OK and why Israel doesn’t have the right to defend themselves by any means available from evil and hatred and why America wouldn’t support Israel. What have we become when this has become the normal attitude of many? It’s easy to be a backseat driver when you have nothing to lose! Why would anyone support Hamas or Iran?

Just one more thought … I know there are many atheists, but Christians believe that God created this world and sent his son. Jesus was born to a Jewish woman. Therefore, Jesus is Jewish! That’s reason enough for me to support Israel. I don’t have to rethink anything!
