Why?

Dear Editor,

In thirty-three years and nine months, the Godhead established in the body of Jesus the Christ the reason we celebrate his birth on December 25, 2023.

“I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh.”-Jn 6:51, *8:28-32, RSV

Jesus’ conception and ministry was prophesied by Solomon in Eccl 11:5, “As you do not know how the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything.”-Mt 1:18-23

Jesus’ ministry begins (Mk 1:15) with his completing “all righteousness” at his baptism (Mt 3:15-17) after thirty years and nine months of growth in “wisdom, favor, and stature with God” (Lk 2:40-52) that is celebrated by the Godhead.

After defeating Satan, who refused to repent, Jesus returned from the Wilderness in triumph as proclaimed by John the Baptist, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”-Mt 4:1-11, Jn 1:29

Jesus continued his atoning ministry by proliferating godly works in his body of flesh as the sin of unbelief increased.-Jn 10:30-39

He described the authority God granted him by revelation in Jn 5:17-34 as God’s servant (Isaiah 52:13-14) and summed it up in Mt 20:28, “even as the Son of man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”-Mt 11:25-30, Jn 10:17-18

Enduring arrest, interrogation, scourging, mocking, and crucifixion, Jesus completed his saving work (I Jn 4:14-18) by asking the ultimate question (Mt 27:46) in response to God’s ultimate revelation (Heb 1:3) honoring his Son as the Supreme Judge of the world.-Jn 5:22, Rom 3:3-4 Through death (Rom 5:6), Jesus revealed the Father’s love for the world (Jn 3:16, 17:26) in his prayers of spirit and life that honored God.-Jn 17:1, 19:30

As the slave of God and humanity, Jesus became the Savior of the world by proving his authority as the Son of man & the Son of God who adorns the doctrine of God.-Phil 2:1-11,*Titus 2:10b-14

For such is the Godhead’s “Paradigm & Crucible of Freedom & Uniqueness”!-Acts 4:12 Eternal Love’s Great Gift Perfecting & Proliferating Grace, Faith, Hope, Love, & Reason to this very moment!-Eph 1:9-10, 2:8-9

Merry Christmas!
