Two greyhounds with Wheeling connections have advanced to the finals of the $115,000 American Greyhound Derby at Twin Rivers Greyhound Park (formerly Lincoln) in Rhode Island.
Moving on to Saturday’s final are Magic Penny Ante (Mike Fynmore Kennel) and Flying Mancini (Flying Eagles-Miner Kennel). Another Wheeling racer, Starz Supreme (Flying Eagles-Miner Kennel), made the consolation final.
The finalist for the championship race and point totals follow: Lovely Sonia, 72 points; Magic Penny Ante and Rossmore Althia, 60 points each; Chasen Tail and Flying Mancini, 46 points each; BWG Tax Audit, 44 points; No More Loving, 42 points; and Bad Influencecat, 40 points.
The post positions for the championship final follow: 1-Bad Influencecat, 2-Rossmore Althia, 3-BWG Tax Audit, 4-Lovely Sonia, 5-No More Loving, 6-Flying Mancini, 7-Magic Penny Ante, 8-Chasen Tail.
The consolation final has KUP’s Carlysimon, 36 points; WW’s Atlantic, 34 points; Speed Sign, 33 points; Flying Northport and U Rock My World, 32 points each; BNS Bea, 29 points; Starz Supreme and Bern John, 27 points each.
