Beallsvlle ‘Rally for Life’ Scramble planned

The Beallsville “Rally for Life” has been one of the longest-running and most highly successful fundraising campaigns for residents of the Switzerland of Ohio school district battling cancer. All told, the event has awards more than $200,000 to individuals throughout the school district and out-lying area.

The need, however, is up for this year. Last year’s events generated $30,362.06, which benefitted 13 families with $1,700 each and an additional $7,000 went to the “Gas Cards, Inc.” program, which benefits cancer patients as well.

One of the top fundraisers in that total was the annual golf scramble, which generated $3,000 in 2015.

This year’s event will be held on Saturday at Switzerland of Ohio Golf Course, which is located on State Route 26 in Beallsville. The cost is $60 per golfer, which includes golf, cart, food, mulligans, skins game, door prizes and contests. There will also be a 50-50 drawing.

For more information on the scramble or any of the Rally for Life events, please contact Robin at 740-238-0702, Carrie at 740-310-3681 or Shirley at 740-213-3079.
