Wheeling Fall Baseball League Seeking Teams
Team are currently being accepted for the 2015 Wheeling Fall Baseball Leagues. There will be teams in the following age groups: Mustang (8-9 yrs old); Bronco (10-11); Pony (12-13) and Colt (14-15). The leagues will begin in late August and registration will close on Aug. 10.

St. C. Slates Soccer Skills Camp
St. Clairsville Soccer Skills Camp will be held on Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26 from 5-8 p.m. at Red Devil Stadium.
The camp is open to U8, U10, U12 and U14 boys and girls and the cost is $25 per player. Registration will be under the press box from 4:30-5 on Saturday. Wear cleats, shin guards and appropriate clothes. Bring a water bottle. West Liberty to Host Women’s Basketball Camp
The defending Mountain East Conference champion West Liberty University women’s basketball team will host the annual WLU Women’s Basketball Camp Sunday through Tuesday at the ASRC.
Head coach Lynn Ullom and assistant coach Kyle Cooper will be welcoming many of their top players back for the 2015- 16 season and several of those players will be on campus this summer as part of the instructional staff at the WLU Women’s Basketball Camp.
The camp, which will focus on individual skill development, is open to all girls entering grades 3-9 in the fall. Each day will include age-specific skill development station drills along with multiple games and contests allowing each individual the opportunity to put those skills to the test in game situations.
Campers will be able to take a swim break in the afternoons before returning to the ASRC for more evening games. Activities planned following the evening games include a movie night, a camp social and plenty of interaction with the Lady Hilltopper players, who will be staying in the dorms with the overnight campers.
Cost of the camp is $150 for commuter campers, which includes lunch and dinner each day, and $200 for overnight campers, which covers all meals and lodging expenses. Campers must have proof of insurance and a recent physical.

SJC Celebrity Server Night Planned
The St. John Central volleyball team is holding a celebrity server night at Buffalo Wild Wings in St. Clairsville on July 22 from 6 -8 p.m.
All proceeds will benefit Lady Irish volleyball activities.
BCARL K-9 Classic 5K Run and Walk Slated
The K-9 Classic 5K Run and Walk will be held on Saturday, Aug. 15 at 9 a.m. Registration begins at 7:30. The race will be held at the St. Clairsville Junior Sports Ball Fields. The race will feature age group and overall awards for run and walk; post-race refreshments; door prizes, chip timing, and gender speficic dri-fit shirts. The proceeds of the race benefit the animal welfare programs in Belmont County through the Belmont Co. Animal Rescue League.
Shadyside Athletic Department Offering Passes
The Shadyside Athletic Department will be selling the following athletic passes for the 2015-16 school year:
Senior Citizen ($20), Senior Citizen non Shadyside resident ($30), handicap parking for home football games ($15) and please bring your handicap pass; football parent for grades 9-12 varsity games only ($20); Volleyball parent grades 9-12 varsity games only ($36); Cheering grades 9-12 varsity football only ($20); Student all grades and it’s good for all home athletic events during the entire school year ($50).

Paul Burkhart Memorial Softball Tournament Slated
The Barnesville Girls Softball League will be hosting the first ever Paul Burkhart Memorial Tournament on July 31, Aug. 1-2. There will be two divisions: 14U & 12U. Barnesville Slates Bronco Tournament

SJC Hoop Camp Slated
The annual Fighting Irish basketball camp will be held July 27-31 at St. John Central High School in Bellaire.
The camp is under direction of Lady Irish head coach Bubba Kapral. He will be assisted by his staff and current and former Irish hoopsters.
Guest speakers will include Monroe Central head coach Scooter Tolzda, Indian Creek head coach Joe Dunlevy, OUE Athletic Director E.J. Schodzinski and Hall of Fame official Mike Coyne.
Cost of the camp is $35. Every other family member will be $25.
Campers will receive a basketball and t-shirt at the conclusion of camp. They are encouraged to bring a bag lunch and drink as refrigeration will be offered.
The camp will focus on fundamentals of the game and will also feature contests, including free throw, 5 on 5 and 3-point shooting.

Past Summer Swimmers Sought
The Barnesville Summer Swim Team will host the Belmont County Summer Swim League Championships on Saturday, July 25. This is the 40th Anniversary of the BCSSL and a celebration is planned.
At noon, on the day of the meet, the swimming will stop and all past swimmers and coaches will be asked to come to the pool deck. The teams from Barnesville, Bellaire, Martins Ferry, Powhatan and St. Clairsville will be invited to the pool deck. After the teams have entered the league will present the Grammer Family (founder of the League) with a plaque of appreciation. Ferry All-Star Baseball Tournaments Alter Dates
The Martins Ferry Civics will be hosting all-star tournaments in Bronco and Pinto. The Bronco tournament will be held from July 12-18 and Pinto will be staged from July 19-24. OVAC Hall of Fame Tickets on Sale

Football Officials Sought
The Ohio Valley Board of Football Officials is currently seeking new candidates to officiate high school football. The training class will take place at Generations, starting July 22 from 5-7:30 p.m. There will be an OHSAA and WVSSAC license fee. St. C. Junior High Volleyball Camp Slated
St. Clairsville Junior High Volleyball Camp will be held from July 27-29 at OUE’s gymnasium. The camp will run daily from 5-8 p.m. The cost is $45 and it includes a t-shirt. The camp will ran by OUE head coach Lindsay Piccollini, OUE players and St. Clairsville High School players. Fees will be due either prior to camp or can be given to the registration table the day of. Please turn all early fees into Christa Truchan. Barnesville PAV Seminar
Barnesville High School, in conjunction with Tim Berger, will conduct an ODE-certified PAV Seminar before the fall season begins.
