Prep Roundup: St. C. falls to Park; Shamrocks stay perfect; BL wins

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — James Salvatori supplied a single, double and RBI to help Wheeling Park take down St. Clairsville, 11-3 Tuesday.

Trevor Thomas had two singles and two RBI for the Patriots while Dylan Gongola supplied a run with two hits.

Trevor Rosenthal also had a double and RBI.

For the Red Devils, Derek Witsberger provided a single, double and RBI while Peyton Drake and Matthew Busby had two singles. Busby also had a RBI.

Cameron 2, Bridgeport 0

MOUNDSVILLE — Jessop Broughton fired a complete game and struck out six as Cameron shut down Bridgeport.

Trin Scot was also solid for the Dragons with a single and double.

Dylan Gregorcic had a solid outing on the mound going the distance and finishing with four strikeouts for the Bulldogs. Matt Fouty delivered a double.

Barnesville 6, Martins Ferry 5

BARNESVILLE — Aaron Marovich supplied a single, double and four RBI as Barnesville remained undefeated and held off Martins Ferry.

Alex Meade as also solid for the Shamrocks with three singles and two RBI.

For the Purple Riders, Chase Goff belted two singles, one triple and brought home a run while Chase Ward amd Mason Goddard both laced two singles.

Monroe Central 4, Shenandoah 2

WOODSFIELD — It was a big day for Monroe Central’s Wade Stoehr in a win over Shenandoah.

He went the distance on the mound striking out 10 batters while also talling two singles and two RBI for the Seminoles.

Buckeye Local 11, Bellaire 2

BELLAIRE — Ethan McHugh brought home three runs and tallied a double as Buckeye Local defeated Belliare. Matthew Scott and Daniel both provided a single and double for the Panthers while Owen Long had two singles.

For the Big Reds, Cole Runyan laced two singles and brought home a run.

SOFTBALL

River 12-10, Valley 0-0

HANNIBAL — River plated 22 runs as it swept Valley in a doubleheader.

In Game 1, six Pilots had multiple hits. Jonayah Moeller tallied a single, triple and two RBI while Lindsey Huffman compiled two doubles and one RBI for the Pilots (10-7).

Riley Lollathin (one RBI), Candace Caldwell (two RBI), Katie Rufener (two RBI) and Elizabeth McConn (one RBI) all tallied two singles.

Shadyside 13, Frontier 1

SHADYSIDE — Kylie Jo Baker collected three singles and two RBI as Shadyside defeated Frontier.

Isabella Swords brought home three runs with a single and triple for the Tigers while Madison Davis had a single, double and three RBI.
