Wooding making lots of history at Oberlin
OBERLIN — To say that Von Wooding has had an impressive collegiate career might be selling the former Linsly Cadet a bit short.
Wooding, who is a senior for the Yeoman football program, is etching his name into Oberlin history from his linebacker position.
During last Saturday’s 38-3 loss to Wabash, Wooding became the second-leading tackler in Oberlin history. In the game, Wooding recorded 13 tackles, raising his career total to 296. He’s now 416 behind the all-time leader.
Also during the game, Wooding, who is a team captain for the Yeoman, had a forced fumble and a tackle for loss.
Wooding and Oberlin are back on the field this week in search of their second win in eight tries when they visit Wittenberg.
