Kildow nets 1,000th point in UL’s win over Bellaire

MORRISTOWN — It was certainly a night for Union Local junior Torre Kildow to remember.

During the third quarter, Kildow connected on a basket that gave her 1,000 points in her career. She finished with 19 and now has 1,006 points in less than three seasons.

While Kildow had her moment, the Jets took care of the Big Reds for their fifth straight win in the process.

Kildow was equaled in the scoring column by senior Hannah Merritt who hit five bonus goals and scored 19 points. They were complemented by junior Reagan Vinskovich, who had 13 points.

Bellaire, which saw its winning streak snapped, was led by freshman Zara Harveth, who scored 10 points.

River 64, Shadyside 25

HANNIBAL — Homestanding River hit seven treys and ran away from invading Shadyside on Monday.

The Pilots were led by sophomore Kelsey Harlan, who scored 21 points. Hannah Raper added 14 and Josie Reed donated 11.

Shadyside, which dropped to 6-9 on the season, was led by senior Paige Gorby’s nine.

Buckeye Local 45, Bridgeport 22

BRIDGEPORT — With the score deadlocked at 4 after one quarter, the Panthers went on a 20-4 run in the second quarter to take command.

Brynn McKeever scored a game-high 15 points for Buckeye Local. Emily Valuska added eight.

The Bulldogs were led by Kaylee Bain and Hailee Aubrey with eight each.
