St. Clairsville golfers cruise in quad
ST. CLAIRSVILLE — The Red Devils cruised to another quadrangular victory Monday evening at Belmont Hills Country Club.
Playing on the back side of the course, St. Clairsville posted a score of 159, which was 34 shots better than runner-up Monroe Central. Union Local (194), Shadyside (218) and River, which didn’t have enough for a full team, also took part.
For the second straight event, talented freshman Olivia Baker claimed the medalist honors. She shot a 1-over round of 37. She was two shots clear of sophomore teammate Brodi Foster.
Buckeye Local sweeps quad
EAST LIVERPOOL — The Panthers went to the East Liverpool Country Club and shot a score of 175, which was good enough to defeat Oak Glen (187), East Liverpool (188) and Indian Creek (213).
The Panthers were led by Aiden Polanski, who shot a 40 en route to a piece of runner-up medalist with Indian Creek’s Noah Tweedy.
East Liverpool’s Nate Kelley shot a 38 to take the medalist honors.

Edison tops JM, Monroe
WHEELING — Edison shot an impressive score of 185 to win a triangular over John Marshall (236) and Monroe Central (252) Monday afternoon.
Edison’s Katie Phillips shot a 43, which was good enough for medalist. She was two shots better than her teammates, Zoe Shell and Nicole Zullo.
