UL’s Kildow, Vinskovich, River’s Harlan named All-Ohio

Three area players who helped lead their teams to highly impressive seasons in 2022-23 have earned the ultimate post-season accolade.

Union Local’s senior duo of Reagan Vinskovich and Torre Kildow as well as River’s Kelsey Harlan were all named First Team All-Ohio by the Ohio Prep Sports Writer’s Association Monday afternoon.

Vinskovich, who was named the Eastern District’s Player of the Year, put the finishing touches on a superb prep career in which she became Union Local’s all-time leading scorer and rebounder, regardless of gender. She scored 2,046 points and 1,076 rebounds.

While it marks Vinskovich’s first time on the first team, she’s a four-time All-Ohioan. She was twice named to the second team and once to the third team prior to this latest accolade.

For the season, Vinskovich averaged more than 22 points and 10 rebounds a game in helping to lead the Jets to their second consecutive trip to the Division III Sweet 16. Vinskovich, who was a finalist for Ms. Basketball, is headed to West Liberty to play.

For Kildow, this is the second consecutive season where she was named First Team All-Ohio, becoming the first Jets girls hoops player to achieve such an accolade.

Kildow, who finished her career with 1,750 points and is second to only Vinskovich in UL history in that category, put forth another brilliant season where she averaged 16 points a game. She also averaged six rebounds a contest and 2.5 assists.

Kildow, who is signed to play volleyball at Ohio University, was also a First Team All-Ohio selection in volleyball last fall.

In Division IV, Harlan had a highly impressive campaign in leading the Pilots to the Division IV Eastern District Championship Game.

En route to surpassing the 1,000-point mark for her career, Harlan was a true floor general for the Pilots, averaging 20 points a night. She also averaged six assists and four rebounds a game in helping the Pilots to a 24-3 record.

Shenandoah junior Mya Leach was named to the Third Team All-Ohio squad after averaging 18.4 points, 8.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists and 2.4 steals an outing.

The All-Ohio teams will continue to be announced throughout the week with Divisions I and II girls due out today and boys will begin on Wednesday.

The complete listing of girls Division III and IV can be found on Page B5.
